Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 10, 2026
The short version
Poptick is designed with privacy at its core. Your tasks, categories, and personal data stay on your device and in your private iCloud account. We don't collect, store, or sell your data. Period.
Data storage
All your tasks, categories, templates, and settings are stored locally on your device. If you use iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private CloudKit database — encrypted and accessible only to you. We have no access to this data.
Apple Health
If you enable health tracking, Poptick reads health data (steps, water, exercise, etc.) from Apple Health to track progress on health tasks. This data is read-only, never leaves your device, and is never shared with us or any third party.
Analytics
We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports to improve app stability. No personal data, task content, or health data is included in these reports. We also use Firebase Analytics for anonymous usage statistics (e.g., which features are used most).
Notifications
Poptick sends local notifications for task reminders and health goal updates. These are processed entirely on your device — no data is sent to external servers.
No accounts
Poptick doesn't require an account, email, or sign-up. There's nothing to hack because we don't have your data.
Third-party services
Poptick uses Apple's CloudKit (iCloud) for sync and Firebase for crash reporting. No other third-party services have access to your data.
Children's privacy
Poptick does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll post the changes on this page with a new date. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
